Cricut is one of the leaders in the cutting machine space and this time we’re looking at one of the latest machines that they have available (edit – it’s not the latest machine any more but in my opinion still one of the best especially for the money). I hope you enjoy this Cricut Explore Air 2 review and find it helpful. If you want to see my thoughts on others in the Cricut range just click here (coming soon).
Our Cricut Explore Air 2 review
What Cricut does well is making these cutting machines easy to use and believe me, when I first started using them – that was needed! I wanted to create and I wanted to do it now. I didn’t want to spend hours watching you tube videos and pouring over the manual to get the settings right and I definitely didn’t want a huge learning curve. Hands up if you’re the same!
The Explore Air 2 is a really easy to use cutting machine and everything about it feels like it’s a quality product. I love the way that the dial works and it makes it really simple to select the right settings for my materials.
I also love that it looks awesome in my craft room – it’s quite a bit bigger than I imagined, but it looks super special and classy on my craft bench! I’m a big fan of the Cricut Explore Air 2!>>> Check out the latest price of this item here <<<
Can cut, write and score – all 2 x faster
One of the main selling features is the speed and the Cricut Explore Air 2 can work incredibly fast – up to 2 times faster which means that if you’re in a rush you can get your projects completed in much quicker time than if you had one of the older machines or even a competitors.
It has a double tool holder so it can also cut and write all in one go or cut and score, again this is time saving and really easy to use too.
Design anytime and anywhere
Cricut now allows you to design and upload your own work for free which is great for those of us with graphic design abilities! You can upload your own designs and fonts and then cut them.
You don’t just have to design on your computer though, you can use your smart phone or tablet too with their Design Space app (iOS only) and with their offline option you can design even if you don’t have internet access. If you’re ever sat waiting for picking up the kids at their after school club or perhaps you travel a lot on planes – you can keep designing! This is actually so much better than I ever imagined as I always have ideas come to me when I have no internet access! Isn’t that always the way?

What others have to say
As well as giving my own thoughts I really like to scour the internet to get a general view of what people have said about this machine to give a more rounded view.
To be honest, it’s easy to find good reviews of the Cricut Explore Air 2 – they are everywhere! Everyone seems to rate it as a really simple to use product, accurate and perfect cutting and something that is addictive! So much crafting to do and this machine seems to help with it all!
The negatives of the machine seem to be focused on the design software which I’ll agree isn’t the best around but as I mentioned above I do love the fact I can use the app on the go.>>> Check out more reviews and buy this item here <<<
